Journal Quilts 2003

June --- Mountain Laurel

This month, I worked with a close-up of a budding mountain laurel. Once again the process is the same. Photograph the flower, make a quilt using my upside-down appliqué technique, scan the quilt, print it onto fabric and then quilt or embellish it. I feel like this is the best one yet. I am thrilled with both the original quilt and the quality of the replica.  The original is very detailed.
